CoreWeave Stock Jumps on Strong Q2 Earnings, Nvidia GPU Lifespan Revealed
CoreWeave's stock surged nearly 16% after the company reported strong second-quarter results, exceeding analysts' expectations. The AI cloud provider saw revenue more than double from a year earlier, rising about 112.5%, while its adjusted loss of $1.03 per share was narrower than expected.
CoreWeave's revenue backlog reached a massive $104 billion, up over threefold year-over-year. This figure does not include additional customer commitments secured in the third quarter, valued at more than $25 billion.
Futurum Group market strategist Shay Boloor highlighted the impact of an A100 contract with Nvidia, extending through 2029. He noted that this demonstrates Nvidia GPUs can 'still generate revenue nearly a decade later.'
