Costco Surges as Nike and McDonald's Struggle
Costco's quarterly results have sent its stock price soaring, bouncing off a $900 support zone to close at $922.77.
The company earned $20.76 per share in the fiscal year, with revenue growing by 10.1% year-over-year to $303.15 billion.
Costco operates a geographically distributed network of warehouses, with locations across the US, Canada, Mexico, and other countries.
On the other hand, Nike is facing concerns about its sales performance, with analysts citing longer turnaround times in the business and larger lifestyle categories dragging down results.
Nike's stock fell consistently throughout this year and is approaching a dividend that yields 5.0%, prompting investors to avoid the stock until reviewing the firm's quarterly results.
McDonald's has also been struggling, with its stock price declining steadily since March and its profit margins struggling despite high customer volumes.
