CPPIB Invests $278.5M in Boeing Amid Defense Contract Boost
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has made a significant investment in The Boeing Company, purchasing new shares worth approximately $278.5 million.
According to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, CPPIB acquired 1,286,555 shares of Boeing's stock in the second quarter, representing about 0.16% of the company's outstanding shares.
This investment follows other institutional investors buying and selling shares of Boeing, including Measured Wealth Private Client Group LLC, Strive Financial Group LLC, Ares Financial Consulting LLC, CrossGen Wealth LLC, and Strategic Wealth Advisors LLC.
Boeing's defense division has been struggling, but the company recently received an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a ceiling of $131.2 billion for the F-15 Eagle Crest program, potentially strengthening its defense revenue visibility.
