Critical Infrastructure Alliance Expands Efforts to Strengthen Resilience Amid Emerging Risks
The Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI) has expanded its efforts to strengthen America's physical and cyber resilience. The alliance now brings together nearly fifty leading companies across six lifeline sectors, including energy, information technology, communications, financial services, transportation systems, and water & wastewater.
These companies operate critical infrastructure that Americans rely on every day, such as power grids, financial systems, and communication networks. By joining forces, ACI aims to identify shared vulnerabilities, strengthen resilience across interconnected systems, support government efforts, and secure supply chains.
The alliance's focus will be on strengthening physical and cyber defenses, addressing shared vulnerabilities, improving resilience, understanding critical dependencies across sectors, and helping operators prepare for emerging risks. This includes ongoing efforts to understand the cyber risk created by large language models (LLMs) and put in place processes to fix vulnerabilities.
The ACI has received support from prominent CEOs, including Jamie Dimon of JPMorganChase, who stated that strong public-private partnerships are crucial for national security. Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, added that the resilience of America's critical infrastructure depends on trusted networks, secure technology, and close collaboration across sectors.
