Crocs, Inc. has significantly boosted its digital sales by integrating Salesforce’s Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud into its operations. The company, which operates the Crocs and HEYDUDE brands across 85 countries, faced challenges with separate ecommerce platforms that complicated merchandising and marketing efforts. By unifying these systems, Crocs can now manage customer journeys more effectively, from product discovery to post-purchase follow-ups.
The integration allows Crocs to capture every digital interaction, such as product views, purchases, and loyalty activity, to guide campaigns and recommendations. For example, if a shopper browses Crocs for a beach vacation, the system can personalize recommendations based on their preferences. Feliz Papich, SVP of Digital Technology, Experience & Insights, noted that this approach reduces the need for shoppers to sort through hundreds of options.
Crocs has also enhanced its presence in AI-powered search tools like ChatGPT by syncing its catalogue directly with OpenAI. This ensures shoppers see up-to-date product information, driving more qualified traffic to Crocs.com and improving conversion rates. Papich highlighted that being an early adopter in ChatGPT has been a key step in Crocs’ agentic roadmap, contributing to growth in traffic and conversions.
The unified system has led to a 25% increase in digital sales attributed to Commerce Cloud. By automating processes like email send times and follow-up campaigns, Crocs can deliver more relevant experiences to shoppers. The integration also supports the company’s guided shopping agent, Rivet, by providing accurate and current commerce data.
