Crow’s Nest Cuts Amazon Stake by 35 Percent in Q2
Crow’s Nest Holdings LP has significantly reduced its stake in Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) by 35.2% during the second quarter, according to its latest SEC filing. The fund sold 95,000 shares, leaving it with 175,000 shares, which now represent about 12.6% of its total holdings, making Amazon its second-largest position.
Several other institutional investors adjusted their positions in Amazon during the same period. Ameritas Advisory Services LLC increased its stake by 78%, acquiring an additional 63,284 shares. Trevian Wealth Management LLC raised its stake by 1.8%, while Varenne Capital Partners boosted its holdings by 398.8%. Henrickson Nauta Wealth Advisors Inc. and Wedmont Private Capital also lifted their stakes by 33% and 3.4%, respectively.
Analysts have been active in updating their price targets for Amazon. Wedbush raised its target to $310, Evercore set a target at $355, and Barclays increased its target to $365. The consensus rating among analysts is a “Moderate Buy” with a target price of $321.63. Amazon’s stock opened at $251.40 on Tuesday, with a market cap of $2.71 trillion.
Amazon’s latest earnings report showed $5.75 earnings per share, significantly beating estimates. The company reported revenue of $200.61 billion, up 19.6% year-over-year. Despite positive sentiment from recent investments in AI and data centers, concerns remain about AI infrastructure spending and potential margin pressures.
