CyberMaxx Expands Capabilities Through Avertium Acquisition

CyberMaxx has acquired Avertium to expand its managed security services portfolio. The acquisition adds Microsoft capabilities, offensive security, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) expertise to CyberMaxx's offerings.

Avertium brings in-house GRC services that CyberMaxx previously referred to partners for. Additionally, the company will provide Microsoft security expertise, particularly in the 500-5,000 seat range where customers have licenses for Microsoft Sentinel but need help using it.

CyberMaxx VP of Marketing and Alliances John Pinkham stated, 'We just didn't quite have in-house capabilities to support Microsoft from an MDR perspective, but Avertium is probably one of the leading Microsoft MDR companies in the market.'

The acquisition is part of CyberMaxx's strategy as a consolidator in the MSSP space. The company has made several acquisitions in recent years, including Corvid Cyberdefense and Cybersafe Solutions.
