Czech National Bank Boosts Stake in Merck & Co., Inc.

The Czech National Bank has increased its holdings in Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) by 4% during the second quarter, according to its latest filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bank now owns 703,007 shares of the company's stock after acquiring an additional 27,039 shares during the quarter. The total value of Merck & Co., Inc. held by the Czech National Bank is approximately $90,336,000.

This move is part of a larger trend in which several hedge funds have increased their stakes in MRK. Norges Bank bought a new position worth $3,997,933,000 in the fourth quarter, while Wellington Management Group LLP lifted its position by 14.8% and now owns 86,435,458 shares valued at $9,098,196,000.
