D23 is celebrating 55 years of Walt Disney World Resort with a new Spotlight Series event. The '55 Magical Years of Storytelling' panel discussion will take place on October 4, 2026, at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

The event marks the 125th anniversary of Walt Disney and the 55th year of the resort. Disney Legend Joe Rohde, a former Imagineer with a 40-year career in Walt Disney Imagineering, will kick off the discussion on storytelling.

The Walt Disney Archives team will follow up with a session about the history of Carousel of Progress. The panel will also reveal new additions to the archives collection discovered during the attraction's ongoing refurbishment.
