D23 Fan Event Goes Global with Disney+ and Hulu Partnership

The Walt Disney Company is taking its beloved D23 fan event to the masses through a partnership with streaming services Disney+ and Hulu. This weekend, fans in Anaheim can attend the Ultimate Disney Fan Event in person, but those unable to make it can still experience the magic from home.

Disney+ will stream select panels and showcase presentations globally on August 14-16. The schedule kicks off on August 14 at 2/1c with a 'Beauty and the Beast: A Tale as Old as Time 35th Anniversary Celebration.'

The streaming schedule continues on August 15, with live panels for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Disney Rewind Encore Concert, and Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase. On August 16, viewers can catch a Disney Worldbuilders Panel featuring Jared Bush, Pete Docter, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kevin Feige, moderated by Leslie Iwerks.

In Anaheim, the Disney+ Hulu Experience features a 4D theater, mystery pin quest, subscription support, and photo-ops inspired by shows like 'The Simpsons' and 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians.' Attendees can also shop exclusive merchandise, including themed mugs, coasters, and vinyl soundtracks.
