Daiichi Life Insurance Enters Amazon with $126 Million Stake
Daiichi Life Insurance Co. Ltd., a Japanese insurance company, has increased its stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) by purchasing 530,942 shares in the second quarter.
The purchase was valued at approximately $126,545,000 and accounts for about 3% of Daiichi Life Insurance Co. Ltd.'s investment portfolio.
This is not an isolated move; several other institutional investors have also modified their holdings of Amazon.com's stock recently.
Invesco Ltd., for example, increased its stake in shares of Amazon.com by 3.3% during the fourth quarter and now owns 59,604,857 shares worth $13,757,993,000.
