The Danish slang dictionary, *Slangordbogen*, will include the phrase 'The caterpillar from hell' in its upcoming release next year. The term describes the oak processionary caterpillar and is a reflection of the country's concern over the insect's presence.

Meanwhile, a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) press release reported that Denmark's hedgehog population has decreased significantly this year. According to the WWF, 16,884 live and dead hedgehogs were found during the count, down from 21,374 last year. The proportion of people who searched without finding any hedgehogs increased from 10.8% to 16.7%.
