Datadog has announced an expansion of its monitoring capabilities to include Shopify and Salesforce. The company revealed the update in a post on September 25, 2026, detailing how its Real User Monitoring and Product Analytics tools now support these platforms.

For Shopify, Datadog’s new setup allows ecommerce teams to track a shopper’s journey from browsing to purchase confirmation. Teams can monitor checkout funnels, identify page views, clicks, and errors, and segment users based on whether they completed or abandoned their purchases.

On Salesforce Experience Cloud, Datadog offers a specialized bundle for Real User Monitoring and Product Analytics under Lightning Web Security. The tools enable teams to capture navigation-based view names, console errors, clicks, and custom actions, helping them analyze user activity and identify friction points in Salesforce experiences.

The update addresses monitoring on platforms where engineering teams have limited control over the frontend runtime, providing deeper insights into user interactions and system performance.
