Decker Steps Down as Home Depot CEO Amid Medical Leave
Home Depot CEO Ted Decker will take a temporary medical leave of absence from his duties, effective immediately. The company expects him to return within the next few months, but did not disclose any further information about his condition.
During Decker's leave, Senior Executive Vice President Ann-Marie Campbell will oversee day-to-day operations, while EVP and CFO Richard McPhail will manage financial management and the Pro subsidiaries. Independent Lead Director Greg Brenneman will chair the board during this time.
Brenneman expressed confidence in Campbell and McPhail's ability to lead the company, stating 'The Home Depot has the best management team in retail.' He added that they look forward to Decker's return.
