Decker Steps Down as Home Depot CEO, Campbell and McPhail Take Helm
Home Depot's CEO Ted Decker has taken a medical leave of absence and will be temporarily replaced by senior executive vice president Ann-Marie Campbell, who will oversee day-to-day operations. Richard McPhail, executive vice president and CFO, will handle financial management and Pro subsidiaries.
Campbell and McPhail have been working together for over 20 years, giving them a strong foundation to lead the company during Decker's absence.
The Home Depot has announced that Decker is expected to return within the next few months. In the meantime, Greg Brenneman, independent lead director, will assume Decker's duties as board chair.
