Disney Media Leaders Share Their Experiences Working with NABJ
Disney's ABC News and ESPN are attending the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Convention & Career Fair, connecting with journalism professionals and sharing their experiences working at Disney. Three media leaders from Disney were interviewed ahead of the conference: Eboni, Rodney, and Air.
Eboni, a Senior Broadcast Producer for Good Morning America, has been with Disney for six years. She manages a team of producers to create content specifically for Robin Roberts, overseeing production, revising scripts, producing high-profile interviews, and managing logistics and budgets. Her goal is to make engaging and inclusive content that appeals to the GMA audience.
Rodney, a Coordinating Producer at ESPN with 11 years of experience, has been attending NABJ conventions for several years. He believes in the organization's mission and wants to connect with people passionate about sports media. Rodney has produced NBA, WNBA, college basketball, and Little League World Series broadcasts, shaping the entire presentation from building production teams to collaborating with studio, creative, social, and programming.
Air, a Producer at SportsCenter, has been with Disney for 4.5 years. She creates the blueprint for the show, showcasing sports, culture, entertainment, and news with comedic relief. Air attends NABJ's convention every year, connecting directly with recruiters and helping black talent blaze their paths.
