Delta and Amex Boost SkyMiles Welcome Offers
America's largest airline and one of its most prominent card issuers have joined forces once again. Delta Air Lines and American Express are offering limited-time welcome offers for new members of their joint SkyMiles credit cards, including a unique incentive that combines two round-trip flight certificates with 50,000 bonus miles.
The promotion is available to eligible new card holders from August 27 through November 4, 2026. The key benefit applies to the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Consumer Card, where first-time users can earn 50,000 bonus SkyMiles after spending $10,000 on purchases in their first six months of membership.
In addition to these bonus miles, card holders will receive two round-trip Delta Comfort flight certificates with no blackout dates. These certificates are valid for travel within the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, but do come with a 21-day advance purchase requirement and taxes/fees of up to $80 per passenger.
The new welcome offers follow changes introduced earlier this summer as Delta and American Express celebrated their 30-year partnership milestone. These updates included introducing a Second Bag Free benefit for domestic flights on eligible Basic Card members, and offering a rideshare credit following the first renewal for Gold Card holders.
