Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Las Vegas After Pressurization Issue

A Delta Air Lines flight made an emergency landing in Las Vegas after experiencing an unexpected pressurization issue on September 6.

The Boeing 737-900, carrying 174 passengers and six crew members, was about halfway from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City when the problem arose.

Pilot communication with air traffic control revealed that the plane descended rapidly from 36,200 feet to 9,000 feet in approximately 10 minutes.

The oxygen masks deployed during the descent, but passengers were safely rebooked on another flight after deplaning in Las Vegas.
