Dermatologist-Led Skincare Brand SkinInspired Enters Indian Market with Innovative Products
Piyush Jain, an experienced FMCG professional with over a decade of experience at Procter & Gamble, has launched SkinInspired, a dermatologist-led skincare brand in India. After noticing a gap in the market where consumers were seeking trusted and innovative skincare products from abroad, Jain began working on SkinInspired.
The brand is built around real skin concerns, clinically informed product development, and formulations designed to be effective while being tolerable for consistent use. SkinInspired aims to move the category from 'claims' to 'consistency.'
Jain identified a gap in India's beauty market where consumers lacked access to affordable and innovative skincare products that were trusted and easy to find. He saw a 'barbell' market where products priced between ₹300-₹600 often failed to meet expectations, while premium global brands cost over ₹3,000 and were not always easily available.
SkinInspired has raised $4.17 million to date, with its seed round of ₹12.25 crore led by Unilever Ventures. The company is investing in innovation, clinical validation, distribution, and team building. Its product pipeline includes refillable-airless pump skincare, a systematic cellular-regeneration serum for skin longevity, and the highest body sun protection available in India.
