Deutsche Bank Boosts Stake in NIKE Amid Ongoing Challenges
Deutsche Bank AG has increased its stake in NIKE, Inc. (NKE) by 8% in the second quarter. According to a Form 13F filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Deutsche Bank owned approximately 3.57 million shares of NKE stock as of the end of the period, valued at $146.41 million. This represents about 0.24% of NIKE's outstanding shares.
The investment firm purchased an additional 264,576 shares during the quarter. Other institutional investors have also made changes to their positions in NKE, including Cornerstone Financial Management LLC and Sankala Group LLC, which bought new stakes in the company worth approximately $26,000 each.
Despite this positive development, NIKE's stock has been under pressure due to weak sales, particularly in China. The company has also faced increased competition from brands such as On and Lululemon. However, some analysts believe that Nike's global brand and potential for a 25th consecutive annual dividend increase make it an attractive investment opportunity.
