DHL and SIA Extend Boeing 777 Freight Partnership at Changi Airport

DHL Express and Singapore Airlines have extended their partnership for operating five Boeing 777 freighters based at Singapore Changi Airport. Under the agreement, SIA pilots will continue to operate the aircraft, while SIA engineers will oversee their maintenance.

The Boeing 777 freighters support DHL's intercontinental air network, connecting its South Asia Hub in Singapore with key destinations in the United States. Each aircraft can carry up to 102 tons of cargo and is among the world's largest, longest-range, and most capable twin-engine freighters.

DHL Express Executive Vice President Travis Cobb said the renewal of the agreement underlines their commitment to building and investing in network capacity that keeps global trade moving. The partnership leverages SIA's operational expertise and DHL Express' global logistics network to reinforce Singapore's role as a leading air freight hub, particularly in the e-commerce segment.

Singapore Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Lee Lik Hsin said the renewal of their agreement with DHL Express reflects the strength and continuity of their partnership. The partnership deepens DHL's global aviation capabilities while anchoring more long-haul cargo capacity at Changi.
