DHL and SIA Renew Crew and Maintenance Deal for Five Boeing Freighters
DHL Express and Singapore Airlines have renewed their agreement for five Boeing 777 freighters based at Changi Airport in Singapore. Under the deal, SIA pilots will continue to operate the aircraft, while SIA engineers will oversee maintenance.
The five Boeing 777 freighters support DHL's intercontinental air network, connecting its South Asia Hub in Singapore with key destinations in the United States. Each aircraft can carry up to 102 tonnes of cargo and is among the world's largest, longest range, and most capable twin-engine freighters.
DHL Executive Vice President for Network Operations and Aviation Travis Cobb said, 'The renewal of this agreement underlines our commitment to building and investing in the network capacity that keeps global trade moving.'
