Diageo Names New APAC Chief Amid Restructuring Plans
Diageo has appointed Sujay Wasan as its new Asia Pacific (APAC) chief, effective immediately. Wasan joins Diageo after nearly 28 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he most recently served as the group's senior vice-president and regional leader of North America.
The Asia Pacific region accounts for 18% of Diageo's net sales, making it its third largest market globally. Wasan will take on John O'Keeffe's remit, who moved to Diageo North America as the division's president and CEO in April.
CEO Dave Lewis, who replaced Debra Crew in July 2025, has undertaken a restructure of the company's workforce, which includes the appointment of a new UK managing director and North America president and CEO. Lewis is set to reveal his updated strategy for Diageo on August 6th when he releases the company's full-year 2026 results.
