Diageo Taps P&G Veteran Sujay Wasan for APAC Growth
Diageo, the global spirits maker, has appointed Sujay Wasan as its new President of Asia-Pacific (APAC) business. The veteran Procter & Gamble executive brings over two and a half decades of experience in consumer goods to his new role.
Wasan joins Diageo after serving nearly 28 years at Procter & Gamble, where he most recently led the Oral Care business in North America. He succeeds John O'Keeffe, who moved on to become President of Diageo North America in March.
According to reports, Wasan will assume his new position on August 15 and become a member of Diageo's Executive Committee, reporting directly to CEO Dave Lewis. Lewis welcomed the appointment, stating that Wasan is 'a global leader with a proven track record of consistently delivering breakthrough business results.'
