Digital Challengers Poised to Surpass JPMorgan Chase Growth
JPMorgan Chase is expected to become the first bank stock to reach a $1 trillion valuation, but its growth may not be as impressive as two smaller digital banks in the next two years.
According to analysts, SoFi Technologies and Nu Holdings are likely to outperform JPMorgan Chase due to their faster growth rates. SoFi is a fintech company that has expanded into a comprehensive financial app for users, attracting new members at a pace of 35% year-over-year increase in the second quarter.
The company's strategy of bringing customers into its ecosystem and getting them to adopt more products is working, with adjusted net revenue increasing 40% year over year. SoFi continues to roll out new and innovative products and services that appeal to its younger target base, including crypto and AI-based ones.
Nu Holdings, based in Brazil, has onboarded more than 60% of the country's adult population to its platform and is expanding to Mexico and Colombia. The company has seen significant growth, with revenue increasing 39% year over year in the second quarter and net income rising 49%.
