Dimon Hails US Treasury for Private Sector G20 Seat
JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon praised the U.S. Treasury Department for inviting private-sector leaders to participate in this year's Group of 20 finance meetings.
'For the first time at G20, Treasury has given the private sector a place at the table,' Dimon said. 'Good policy is made better when those who lend, hire, invest, and build have a voice in shaping it.'
The two-day meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors, hosted by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, focuses on economic growth, global imbalances, sovereign debt, and supply-chain resilience.
Dimon emphasized that the core mandate of driving growth 'transcends both national borders and party lines.' He highlighted the importance of collaboration in shaping policy, saying 'good policy drives growth, helps all citizens, and has the benefit of being fundamentally free.'
