JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is leading an effort to address the risks posed by advanced AI systems. He has personally reached out to CEOs of other large and major regional banks and IT companies to join a US-focused industry group, which aims to develop a shared understanding of how AI is being used, its risks, and the necessary safeguards.

The initiative, part of the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), includes over 40 companies spanning financial services, energy, water, utilities, telecommunications, airlines, railroads, and other critical infrastructure industries. The ACI was founded by JPMorgan alongside Mastercard, Berkshire Hathaway Energy, and others to coordinate cross-sector resilience planning and share information.

Dimon has been warning about the risks posed by advanced AI systems, including the Anthropic's Mythos AI model. He stated that access to such capabilities must be controlled, likening it to giving 'ballistic missiles' to individuals with Mythos.
