Dimon Sees $1 Trillion in AI Spending Next Year

JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon predicts that AI spending across the hyperscaler ecosystem will reach $1 trillion next year, more than doubling from the current $700 billion. This massive investment is expected to drive economic growth but could also fuel inflation.

Dimon made this forecast during an interview at JPMorgan's India conference in Mumbai on November 22nd. He noted that such large-scale investments have already added about 1% to GDP each year, with companies hiring people, building factories and power plants, and buying equipment and materials.

However, Dimon believes AI could have a deflationary effect over the long term. When asked about the growth potential of AI technology, he described it as 'an unbelievable technology' and stated that its rapid expansion will continue for some time.
