JPMorgan Chase's CEO Jamie Dimon highlighted both the economic benefits and potential risks of the current AI infrastructure investment boom.

Dimon stated that these investments will contribute approximately 1% to U.S. GDP growth in both 2025 and 2026, with ripple effects across traditional industries including increased demand for construction materials, elevated energy consumption, and expanded construction activity.

However, he cautioned that margin debt levels have reached unprecedented highs, with concealed leverage posing destabilization risks.

The banking executive noted that U.S. private sector data center construction expenditures reached an annualized $68.3 billion by June, representing a 45.8% year-over-year expansion.
