Dirac Brings AI-Driven Process Planning to Enterprise Manufacturers on Microsoft Azure
Dirac has partnered with Microsoft to bring AI-driven process planning to enterprise manufacturers. This new partnership aims to replace legacy process planning stacks with artificial intelligence, increasing visibility across aerospace & defense and industrial equipment sectors.
The company's BuildOS platform will be integrated into Microsoft Azure, allowing for seamless processing and rendering of CAD files. The AI-native process planning system will also manage application data in Azure DB for PostgreSQL, customer CAD files in Azure Blob Storage, and encrypt data with customer-managed keys held in Azure Key Vault.
Dirac's BuildOS has already shown promising results among its customers, reporting up to 95% reduction in time to create work instructions, up to 85% faster engineering change order release cycles, up to 85% faster first-pass build times, and up to 95% faster new operator onboarding.
The partnership aims to bring AI to the core engineering loop, from design and simulation through engineering change. BuildOS will be available in Microsoft Marketplace, allowing manufacturers to provision, purchase, and deploy it against existing Azure spend commitments.
