Disney Adds Holiday Soundtrack to Toy Story Land Attraction
Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to introduce a festive twist to the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction in Toy Story Land this holiday season. Starting November 4, the ride will feature a limited-time holiday soundtrack, which will include four festive tracks: “Toyland,” “Deck the Halls,” “Swirling, Swirling Saucers,” and “Joy to the Swirl.” This seasonal overlay will run through January 6, offering guests a unique experience without requiring major changes to the attraction itself.
The holiday soundtrack is just one of the recent changes in Toy Story Land. Earlier, the interactive character Lilypad, from the upcoming Toy Story 5 (2026), was added near Alien Swirling Saucers, introducing a new element to the area. These updates come as part of Disney’s strategy to enhance the holiday experience across its parks, making familiar attractions feel different during the season.
Disney has a history of using holiday overlays to create seasonal excitement. For example, the Jungle Cruise becomes the Jingle Cruise, and Space Mountain receives a Christmas makeover. This year, other attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets at Hollywood Studios will also get holiday tracks or overlays. These changes encourage repeat visits and add to the festive atmosphere beyond the usual decorations and entertainment.
For visitors to Hollywood Studios, the holiday soundtrack on Alien Swirling Saucers is another reason to return to the park. The limited-time offering ensures that guests who want to experience the festive version must do so before it disappears after January 6. This approach allows Disney to create a special holiday experience without introducing entirely new attractions, making the season feel unique and memorable.
