Disney Adds Veteran Deal Maker to Its Ranks
Disney has added a new executive to its team, welcoming Dan Weinberger as deputy general counsel overseeing corporate transactions. The move comes from Warner Bros. Discovery, where Weinberger spent nearly two decades in various roles.
Weinberger joins Disney with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt investments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and general corporate transaction matters. He advised C-suite leadership on deal structuring, negotiation strategy, and deal execution while managing teams across legal and business units.
Some of his notable achievements include playing a key role in the $108 billion sale of Time Warner to AT&T and the $43 billion combination of Warner Media with Discovery. Weinberger has also led major growth initiatives, including the expansion of Warners' video game business and the formation of joint ventures in the Chinese entertainment market.
Weinberger starts his new role on September 28 and brings a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a B.A. from Stanford University to his position.
