Disney and WWE Team Up for Special Events in 2027
The Walt Disney Company and WWE are in talks to collaborate on 'special events' in 2027, deepening their existing partnership. The two entertainment giants have already worked together, with WWE's premium live events airing on Disney-owned ESPN in the US.
Mark Shapiro, head of WWE's parent company TKO, mentioned that families are their target audience and advertisers are starting to take notice.
'When it comes to going after families, that's our audience,' Shapiro said. 'I think advertisers are starting to see that.'
The partnership is set to bring together the two audiences since they share a common bond - family.
