Disney Appoints Adam Smith to Lead Global Streaming Business
The Walt Disney Company has announced key leadership appointments in its Direct-to-Consumer division. Adam Smith, who joined Disney in 2024, will take on the role of chairman for this business. In his new position, Smith will oversee global streaming platforms, including Disney+ and Hulu.
Smith's duties will cover product development, engineering, proprietary advertising technology, and programming strategy. He will also direct viewer experience, corporate partnerships, and data and analytics for the streaming portfolio.
Joe Earley will assume a newly created role as president of Disney Entertainment Television Franchise and Content Strategy. In this position, he will focus on the strategic development of television franchises, including international content production, talent development, and business operations.
