Disney Believe Construction Milestone Reached Ahead of 2027 Debut
The Disney Believe, the newest addition to Disney Cruise Line's Wish-class fleet, has reached a major construction milestone at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The first of three enormous sections forming the vessel, known as a gigablock, has been completed and floated out. This gigablock contains the midship portion of the ship, including the space that will eventually become the Grand Hall.
The Disney Believe's Grand Hall will draw inspiration from Moana, with a design centered on exploration, nature, and the visual traditions of the South Pacific. A bronze statue of Moana, accompanied by Pua and Heihei, will anchor the space, while Polynesian-influenced finishes will appear throughout the multilevel hall.
The Disney Believe is scheduled to debut in late 2027 and will be the fourth ship in the Wish class, following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. The ship's entertainment and venues will incorporate stories from various Disney franchises, including Frozen, Encanto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Little Mermaid, and Moana.
