Disney Blocks Off Yacht Club Resort Entrance for Extensive Refurbishment
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment work as part of its ongoing exterior maintenance. The construction, which began in 2025 and is expected to continue through late 2026, has caused Disney to block off a major entrance and nearby walkways to the popular EPCOT-area hotel.
Guests returning from the theme parks may notice that their usual route looks very different due to the construction walls and scaffolding surrounding the back lobby entrance. This area is regularly used by guests traveling between Yacht Club, EPCOT, and other destinations around the BoardWalk area.
While the closure may cause some confusion, Disney has not closed the hotel itself. Guests can still access the resort through neighboring Beach Club or by continuing beyond the construction area toward the leisure pool or wedding gazebo before entering.
