Disney Buys Former Yamaha HQ in Cypress for $115 Million
Walt Disney Co. has paid $115 million for the former headquarters of Yamaha Motor Corp. USA in Cypress, California.
The property, a 25-acre campus, was sold by Avison Young on October 2 without disclosing the buyer's identity at that time.
The sale closed on September 23, with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc. paying $115.29 million for the site, according to public records viewed at PropertyShark.com.
Disney plans to use the campus to support its 'back-of-house operations,' which typically include non-guest facing services such as laundry or costuming.
