Disney Classic Favorites Map Reveals America's Most Beloved Movies

A new map created by Ovid using Google Trends data reveals the most popular classic Disney movie in every U.S. state.

The results show that The Lion King is the favorite in nine states, including Nevada, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Virginia, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

Fantasia, a unique combination of animation and classical music, is concentrated in Southern states, with Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland picking it as their favorite movie.

Other popular classic Disney movies include The Aristocats, Bambi, and The Fox and the Hound, each claiming a few states as their own.
