Disney Combines Consumer Products and Entertainment Under One Leader
The Walt Disney Company has announced a new structure and leadership for its Disney Consumer Products (DCP) business. As of October 4, 2026, DCP's global licensing and publishing businesses will be part of Disney Entertainment, Studios, aligning them with Disney's creative content groups. In contrast, Disney Parks Merchandise, Disney Store, and DisneyStore.com will remain under Disney Experiences.
Cathleen Taff has been named President of both Disney Entertainment, Studios and Consumer Products, reporting to Alan Bergman. This new role combines her existing responsibilities as leader of Production Services, Franchise Management, and Theatrical Distribution for The Walt Disney Studios' collection of entertainment studios, including Disney, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm.
Taff is a 32-year Disney veteran who has held various senior executive roles within Studios. Her experience includes overseeing two record-breaking years in worldwide box office history, with $11 billion in 2019, and the release of seven billion-dollar films over the past three years.
