Disney Comms Chief Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul Departs After Eight Years

Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul, the head of communications for Disney Entertainment Television (DET), is leaving the company after eight years. In a memo to staff, she announced her departure to pursue a new opportunity. She will be remembered for leading the comms team and navigating major events for the company.

Bulochnikov-Paul came to Disney in 2017 as vp communications for Freeform and later moved to ABC, serving as senior vp publicity for the broadcast network. In 2023, she was elevated to executive vp communications for DET. Her departure is not related to a recent round of layoffs that primarily affected tech and human resources departments.

Paul Roeder was appointed chief communications officer earlier this year, leading to some changes in the comms operation's structure. Bulochnikov-Paul reported directly to Roeder and DET chairman Debra OConnell. Her expertise as a communications strategist has been crucial for the company during challenging times.
