Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa shared an unexpected connection to Disney after the news of Bob Iger's $12.5 billion purchase of the Los Angeles Lakers broke.

Iger, who is the former CEO of The Walt Disney Company, has taken over as the owner of the Lakers, and Vanessa Bryant couldn't help but notice a coincidence.

In an interview, she mentioned that her husband Kobe was a huge fan of the Toy Story franchise, which is owned by Disney. She joked that it was 'funny' that her late husband's favorite character, Buzz Lightyear, would now be represented by Iger, who is also closely associated with Disney.

The Lakers were purchased from previous owner Jeanie Buss for $12.5 billion, making it one of the largest sports team deals in history.
