Disney Consolidates Consumer Products Division Under New Leadership
The Walt Disney Company has announced major restructuring within its Consumer Products division. Effective October 4th, DCP's global licensing and publishing businesses will be aligned with Disney Entertainment, Studios under the leadership of Cathleen Taff, who has been named president of Disney Entertainment, Studios and Consumer Products.
Taff will oversee the integration of these businesses, which include production services, franchise management, and theatrical distribution for Disney's entertainment studios. She will also continue to lead Disney Theatrical Group and Disney Music Group.
Meanwhile, Lisa Baldzicki will remain at the helm of Disney Parks Merchandise but has been given expanded responsibility for global Parks merchandise, as well as the owned-and-operated retail businesses, including Disney Store locations worldwide and DisneyStore.com. She will now lead a newly formed team that identifies emerging trends and opportunities and scales successful ideas across the Disney Experiences global portfolio.
