Disney Consolidates Consumer Products Under Entertainment Division
Disney is making significant changes to its consumer products business, moving most of it from Disney Experiences to Disney Entertainment. The restructuring will take effect on October 4, 2026.
The global licensing and publishing businesses of Disney Consumer Products (DCP) will be merged into Disney Entertainment, Studios. However, Disney Parks Merchandise, Disney Store, and DisneyStore.com will remain under the control of Disney Experiences.
Cathleen Taff has been named president of Disney Entertainment, Studios and Consumer Products, reporting to Alan Bergman. She will oversee the incoming DCP licensing and publishing businesses while continuing to lead production services, franchise management, and theatrical distribution for The Walt Disney Studios.
