Disney Content Returns to Netflix in Surprise Licensing Deal
Netflix users have been surprised to find that Disney content is once again available on the platform. The move comes as a result of a licensing deal between Netflix and Disney, which will see a selection of Disney-owned titles made available globally. This includes popular shows such as 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' and all five 'Ice Age' movies.
The 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' series has been licensed to Netflix for just three months as part of a marketing campaign ahead of its third season launch in November on Disney+. The five 'Ice Age' films will also be available on Netflix for a limited time, with their availability ending before the release of the next installment in February 2027.
In addition to these titles, other Disney-owned content is set to make its way onto Netflix. This includes series from Hulu and Disney+, as well as films from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar. Some of the specific titles mentioned include 'Will Trent', 'Shifting Gears', and the Oscar-winning film 'Soul'.
It's worth noting that all of these titles will remain available on Disney+ throughout their licensing period, so users won't have to choose between platforms.
