Disney Cruise Line Expands Back-to-School Support with New Cultural Exchange Program

Disney Cruise Line recently celebrated its ongoing commitment to supporting back-to-school efforts in port communities worldwide. As part of this annual initiative, Disney welcomed students from the University of The Bahamas into its Cultural Exchange Program for the first time in 2026.

Turquoise, a music education student from the university, was among the first group of Bahamian students to participate in the program at Walt Disney World Resort. He worked as a Quick Service Food and Beverage cast member and gained valuable experience that he hopes will inspire him in his future teaching career.

In addition to participating in the Cultural Exchange Program, Turquoise joined VoluntEARS from the Disney Wish crew to prepare classroom supplies for local teachers at Supply Zone for Teachers in Brevard County. He expressed gratitude for being able to contribute to setting up local educators and their students for success.

Disney Cruise Line has been supporting Supply Zone for Teachers since 2012, donating resources and volunteering time each year. The program aims to provide free school supplies throughout the county, preparing classrooms and students for a successful new academic year.
