Disney Cruise Line Unveils Renovated Disney Wonder Ship
Disney Cruise Line has completed a major renovation of its Disney Wonder ship after a dry dock project that lasted just over two weeks. The refurbishment saw more than 100 projects completed, including the installation of new sustainable hull coating and the addition of new carpeting equivalent in length to 46 basketball courts.
The dry dock process allows Disney Cruise Line to complete essential maintenance while also introducing thoughtful enhancements to keep the guest experience fresh and relevant. Each ship typically undergoes a dry dock every five years, during which time teams carefully evaluate every space onboard to build upon favorite experiences, introduce meaningful improvements, and exceed guest expectations.
The Disney Wonder's refurbishment included the introduction of new entertainment options, such as the refreshed Edge club, which welcomes tweens with a vibrant new color scheme and modular elements. The ship also saw updates to Senses Spa & Salon and the debut of the new Fantasy Tower Suite inspired by Fantasia.
