Disney Cuts Hundreds More Jobs Amid Cost-Cutting Efforts

The Walt Disney Company has begun another round of layoffs under its new CEO Josh D'Amaro. The move follows a similar wave in April, which saw 1,000 positions cut from the company's workforce.

According to reports, around 200 employees have been let go, primarily from the tech and HR divisions. This is less severe than the previous layoffs, but still marks another significant downsizing effort by the company.

D'Amaro has made it clear that Disney will be focusing on cost-cutting measures to free up resources for future growth. The company's CEO and CFO mentioned this goal in a letter to shareholders in August, stating they would 'remain highly focused on reducing costs across the enterprise'.
