Disney Cuts Hundreds More Jobs in Latest Cost-Cutting Effort

Walt Disney Co. (DIS) has eliminated several hundred positions, primarily in human resources and technology, as part of its ongoing cost-cutting efforts.

The latest reductions affect around 300 employees across corporate functions and various divisions, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified.

This is Disney's third round of job cuts this year, following similar reductions in April and July that affected thousands more employees.

Chief Executive Officer Josh D'Amaro has been pushing forward with an aggressive cost-reduction agenda, which includes consolidating the enterprise marketing division and streamlining corporate functions.
