The Disney D23 convention is in full swing, drawing hundreds of thousands of Disney fans to Anaheim, California. One activity that attendees are encouraged to participate in is pin trading.

D23 has outlined specific rules for pin trading at the event. The first rule is that pins must be metal and feature a 'cDisney' symbol on the back. They should also be in good condition and have their backing included.

Pins from divisions of The Walt Disney Company, such as ABC or ESPN, are considered official Disney pins and can be traded. Pins with a Disney affiliation, like Disneyland or Walt Disney World text, are also acceptable. However, plastic pins, rubber pins, and other non-metal pins are not allowed.

When trading with Cast Members, attendees are limited to two pins per person per day. They should not touch the lanyard or pin display of another guest, but rather ask them to bring it closer for a trade. It's also recommended to offer a pin that is not currently displayed to avoid duplicates.
