Disney Dreamers Academy Expands to Reach More Youth
Disney Dreamers Academy has just marked its next chapter in a 20-year legacy. The program aims to provide youth with opportunities to learn how they can harness their dreams. Since launching in 2008, it has helped over 1,800 students across the country build careers, lead communities, and mentor future Disney Dreamers.
This year, the academy is expanding by collaborating with Boys & Girls Clubs to reach more students earlier in their journey and keep them connected to the program longer. The pilot program will support 200 middle school Club members from Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and Houston through a mix of virtual and in-person experiences.
The students will discover new skills and confidence, explore different careers, and meet inspiring people. They'll also experience Disney magic along the way, including visits to Walt Disney World.
